Since ELCAT was founded in 1981, it develops, produced and markets electronic devices for medical technology. Our core competences are in the doppler and plethysmograph product fields. Personnel structure We are a medium-sized company that employs a staff of about 20 in the divisions of sales & distribution, management (administration), production and engineering. Product portfolio
Sales & distribution In Germany, we market our products directly, while qualified and trained sales partners market them worldwide. Our products are used in established medical offices, hospitals and clinics. Our products are mentioned in numerous scientific publications. Engineering In hardware development, we use the most advanced components (32 bit microcontrollers and microprocessors, CPLD and FPGA components). The firmware that we have developed (hardware-related programming) links up hardware with application software. The application software is complex, demands lot from user comfort and is developed for Windows operating systems and embedded Linux. Apart from the high functional requirement made to our products, we strive to implement the engineering in an attractive design. Production We process the most advanced components and work with suppliers that render the most varied services for manufacturing our products. We manufacture electronics with lead-free circuit boards and assembly groups. All intermediate and final products undergo strict quality testing. All production control processes of the entire production process and inventory control are supported by SAP. Infrastructure Microsoft Office Al our workplaces are linked up. We work with the usual Microsoft software products (WORD, OUTLOOK, EXCEL …). SAP We use SAP for combining all our company’s essential core functions in one single software that controls financial management, sales & distribution, customer relations management, production with warehouse management and our controlling. SharePoint The SharePoint server is our strategic IT platform for corporate collaboration. Our Intranet stores data for projects, competition and publications in terms of a knowledge management. These data can be selected through suitable search terms. In addition, cross-departmental tasks and their completion status can be administered. Objective Our objective is the development and worldwide marketing of new high-tech products. To accomplish this, we collaborate with leading scientists from the medical and engineering fields.
