  • The hand-held unit rechargeable battery won't charge

    • Leave the charger plug plugged in for about one hour (the hand-held unit must be switched off) and then switch the hand-held unit on. If the green charge-status LED is lit, the rechargeable battery is being charged correctly. If not, there is a major defect.

  • The display of the hand-held unit displays the error message "Sensor Error"

    • Is the sensor correctly applied?
      • The optical test lens must be applied to the skin.
      • The sensor head must be completely fixated by the adhesive ring; do not let any light get in.
  • Printer prints random characters

    If the printer prints random characters that is usually attributable to
    • An incorrect printer is activated
    • A false configuration is set up

    How can the settings be changed/checked?
    • Switch on the hand-held unit with the F-key pressed
    • Press the P-key several times until "Printer" appears in the display.
    • Select your printer with the F-key
      • Printer 1 EPSON P40
      • Printer 3 EPSON dot matrix printer
      • Printer 6 SEIKO DPU411 to DPU417
    • Press the P-key once more; "Config" appears in the display.
      • Config. 1 for all EPSON printers
      • Config. 2 for all other printers
    • Switch on the unit. The settings are automatically saved.
  • The display of the hand-held unit displays the error message "Printer Inactive"

    • Check the wiring.
      • The hand-held unit and the printer must be connected with the printer cable!
        Note:ONLY the hand-held unit and the printer are charged with the charging cable!
    • Is the printer switched on?
    • Do the printer status lights indicate a malfunction?
    • You can clarify the details with the following questions.
  • The printer is "off-line" or the red LED is illuminated

    • Check the condition of the rechargeable battery.
      • Connect the charger and press the online button. Then press a saved examination.
  • The red LED on the printer is flashing

    • Is printer paper (thermal printing roll) inserted?
      • Remove the thermal printing roll and put it back in again.
    • Does the printer have a paper jam?
  • The green LED on the printer is flashing

    • The rechargeable battery capacity is nearly used up.
    • Connect the charger.
  • The printer prints empty, white pages

    • Is the thermal printing paper correctly inserted?
      • Test: Run your fingernail across the thermal printing paper; that blackens the printed (active) side.
    • Correctly insert the thermal printing paper.
  • The printer rechargeable battery does not charge

    • Is the charger connected to the printer? Pull the charger plug and plug the charger in again.
      • The green status light flashes while the rechargeable battery is being charged.
      • Hint: For automatic charging we recommend the use of a timer.
    • Remove the rechargeable battery from the printer (the battery compartment is on the bottom of the printer!). Replace the rechargeable battery; connect the charger.
      • The green status light flashes while the rechargeable battery is being charged.
